PAUL G. HARRIS is a political scientist and the Chair Professor of Global and Environmental Studies at the Education University of Hong Kong. His research explores global and environmental politics, policy and ethics. Most of his work focuses on climate change.
Professor Harris is the author/editor of many books, recently including Global Ethics and Climate Change (Edinburgh University Press), the Routledge Handbook of Global Environmental Politics (Routledge) and Climate Change and Ocean Governance (Cambridge University Press). His written work has been published in more than 100 journal articles and book chapters.
Professor Harris received his Ph.D. in Politics from Brandeis University. He has taught at universities in Britain, Hong Kong and the United States. He has served in a variety of university leadership positions, including as academic chair, department head and director of research centers, environmental studies programs and international research projects.
